Criss Chaney is an American painter based in Melbourne, whose early exposure to art in Laguna Beach fuelled her passion for creative expression. Originally trained as a glass artist in the UK, she transitioned to painting after seven years of global travel, which deepened her connection to the human experience.

Criss has exhibited internationally in Australia, the USA, the UK, and Austria. Her work blends introspection with universal themes, often incorporating journal pages to add layers of authenticity. Drawing inspiration from urban landscapes and human connections, her paintings explore vulnerability and strength.

Her artistic process involves building multi-layered works that invite viewers to discover hidden details. Working with various media like cyanotype, acrylics, oils, and gold leaf, Criss lets intuition guide her, creating dynamic, unpredictable outcomes.
Based in Berwick, Criss is focused on refining her craft and plans to expand into mural work and art classes.
